Reviving Printer

Tearing apart and rebuilding my DIY kit 3D printer was not something I was looking forward to when I moved from North Carolina to Minnesota. For all my concerns, things went relatively smooth. Nothing broke in transport and I was able to reassemble in an evening. Calibration took less time than expected as while, and the printer is fully operational again. Iā€™m not thrilled about having it in my bedroom given the noise, but sacrifices need to be made.

I will likely keep this printer operational as is until I can build another printer. If I am able to get another printer running I will likely tear this one apart and rebuild on a metal frame to replace the black acrylic pieces to increase stability.
