Reviving Printer
Tearing apart and rebuilding my DIY kit 3D printer was not something I was looking forward to when I moved from North Carolina to Minnesota. For all my concerns, things went relatively smooth. Nothing broke in transport and I was able to reassemble in an evening. Calibration took less time than expected as while, and the printer is fully operational again. Iām not thrilled about having it in my bedroom given the noise, but sacrifices need to be made.
I will likely keep this printer operational as is until I can build another printer. If I am able to get another printer running I will likely tear this one apart and rebuild on a metal frame to replace the black acrylic pieces to increase stability.
